About Brow tinting at Azizam
A brow tint gives you soft, natural depth in the brow line without the harder edge of makeup. The colour is matched one or two shades softer than your natural hair, and applied both to the hair itself and very lightly to the skin beneath, so the effect reads like well-groomed brows rather than drawn-on shape. It is the kind of small change that women notice in the mirror but that other people cannot quite place.
The appointment is short. After a quick consultation on shade, we cleanse the brow area, apply a protective barrier to the skin around the brow, and paint the tint into the hair in two or three thin layers. The tint develops for a few minutes, then we cleanse it away, finish with a calming serum, and brush the brows into direction. Most clients are in and out in 20 minutes.
Results last differently on skin and on hair. The colour holds on the skin for around two to three weeks, fading gradually as the skin naturally exfoliates. On the hair itself, the colour lasts four to six weeks. This dual timing is one of the reasons a tint looks so natural. The skin staining fades first, leaving the hair itself beautifully tinted for the rest of the cycle.
Shade matching is the most important part of the service. A tint that is too dark can look heavy and aged. A tint that is too close to black is almost never flattering. We steer toward warm browns and soft taupes for most clients, and we adjust according to your skin tone, the colour of your hair, and how bright the natural light is where you live and work. If your hair is naturally very dark, we use a cooler tint that reads as depth rather than as colour. If your hair is lighter, we match one or two shades darker.
Tint pairs beautifully with shape. Most clients book the two as a combination, because the depth from the tint brings out the precision of the shape and vice versa. If you are new to brow work, the tint and shape combination is our most-requested service and a sensible starting point.
Aftercare is genuinely easy. Avoid scrubs, acid-based skincare or heavy oils on the brow area for 24 hours. Avoid swimming and steam rooms for the first day. After that, carry on as usual. Your normal cleanser and moisturiser are fine, and you can resume your full skincare routine on day two.
A tint is a good choice for any woman whose brows feel a little pale or soft in the mirror, and who does not want to commit to henna, which stains deeper. It works particularly well for clients with fair or grey hairs in the brow line, and for women who have recently stopped dyeing their hair and want to rebalance how their face reads.
If you are unsure whether tint or henna would suit you better, we recommend starting with tint. You can always progress to henna later.
Brow tinting FAQs
How often should I have my brows shaped?
Every three to four weeks keeps the shape consistent. In between, light tweezing at home is fine, but avoid major tidying yourself so the shape does not drift.
How long does brow tint last?
Around three weeks on the skin and up to six on the hair, depending on how often you exfoliate or use active skincare around the brow area.
What is brow lamination?
A gentle treatment that sets the brow hairs into a brushed-up, more defined shape. The result lasts around six weeks and works especially well for unruly or sparse brows.
Can I have brows shaped while pregnant?
Waxing, threading, and tweezing are safe. Tints and henna are a personal choice, so we always pause chemical services in the first trimester unless you would like to proceed.
Will shaping my brows make them grow back thicker or thinner?
Shaping itself does not change how your brows grow. Consistent, considered shaping encourages the healthy hairs to grow in and reduces strays over time. Aggressive, uneven shaping over many years can slow regrowth in certain areas, which is exactly what careful, light work avoids.
What is the difference between brow tint and brow henna?
Tint colours the hair and lightly stains the skin beneath, fading in two to three weeks on the skin and four to six weeks on the hair. Henna stains both more deeply, so the effect is fuller and reads particularly well for sparse or uneven brows. Henna lasts around two weeks on the skin and up to six on the hair.
Can brow hair that has not grown for years come back?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on whether the follicle is still active or fully closed. We will assess honestly during your consultation. A brow serum used nightly for three months is often the right first step, and pairing with lamination or henna can give visual fullness while regrowth is in progress.
How long should I let my brows grow before my first appointment?
Two to three weeks of growing-out gives your technician enough to work with. If you have been tidying strays yourself, stop for about a week before the appointment. That lets us see the full growth pattern and design a shape that will behave well between visits.
“My brows have never looked better. Considered, quiet work. No drama, just exactly what I wanted. The team knows what they are doing.”
